Charlotte Disbury
Owner and Director
With extensive event management experience, Charlotte specialises in blending creativity and efficiency to transform visions into unforgettable experiences for our clients. With a First Class (Hons) Degree in Events Management, Charlotte joined the company from university progressing from a position as event manager to being an owner of the business.
Charlotte believes that attention to detail is essential and thrives on bringing her clients' ideas to life with innovative solutions and meticulous organisation. Collaboration is at the heart of every process and taking the time to understand a client’s brief and visions, allows Charlotte to tailor each event to their specific requirements. Her strong relationships with vendors and venues helps ensure a seamless delivery and resulting in our clients returning year after year.
Atlanta Benham
Owner and Director
With a First Class (Hons) Degree in Events Management, Atlanta began her career in the event industry with CJS and has progressed to become an owner and director of the company. Atlanta is fuelled by a passion for transforming months of meticulous planning into extraordinary experiences. Thriving on bringing a variety of events to life for a diverse range of clients, Atlanta ensures each one reflects their unique vision. Atlanta believes that building strong relationships is essential to unlocking the full potential of any event. Her approach to every event focuses on aligning objectives and optimising resources, ensuring that events are both impactful and financially viable. Atlanta is always prepared for the next challenge in the events industry and is committed to ongoing development within the industry and creating unforgettable moments.
Elly Lacatusu
Event Manager
With a First Class (Hons) Degree in Events Management, Elly joined CJS from university in 2022 and has quickly made her mark as an exceptional event manager. With a keen eye for detail, Elly excels in curating events that leave a lasting impression on clients and guests alike. Elly is dedicated to providing the highest calibre of service, ensuring that no task is ever too much of an ask. Her commitment to excellence shines through in every project she undertakes.
Before embarking on her career in events, Elly spent a year volunteering in Uganda, where she organised events for orphanages. This transformative experience ignited her passion for the events industry and taught her the power of connection and community.
Rachel Fletcher
Business Administrator
Rachel is a key support to our team operations. Joining in 2019, she has taken the lead on the company’s administrative tasks, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. With her cheerful demeanour, Rachel is often the first voice that you’ll hear on the other end of the phone, always ready to assist and brighten your day. Onsite, you’ll often be greeted by Rachel’s bright smile, which perfectly reflects her positive energy. With exceptional communication skills and an ability for creating lasting connections, Rachel is often referred to by clients and guests alike, by the affectionate title of our ‘Director of Happiness.’ A warm welcome sets the tone for a great experience, and Rachel will go above and beyond to ensure every individual feels valued. This passion for fostering a supportive environment is contagious, inspiring others around her.
Kevin Shapland
Founder and Business Adviser
Following a successful lengthy career as a detective with the Metropolitan Police Service, Kevin founded CJS in 2004. His intention and main aim were to provide public sector clients with cost effective solutions for their conferences and events. Recognising the vitally important role of employees in the success of any business, 20 years on in 2023, Kevin relinquished ownership of the company to his senior staff members. He continues to act as business adviser to the company alongside his engagement in voluntary roles within a children’s charity, environmental protection group and as chair of an Employment Advisory Board within one of the UK’s prisons.
Our team is the heart of everything we do. Each member brings unique skills, perspectives, and a shared passion for delivering exceptional service. We believe in continuous growth, collaboration, and a strong sense of community.
